SECOND DAY: FLIGHT TO EL FUERTE

Morning flight from San Diego, CA (CBX) to Los Mochis, Sinaloa (TJX) Transportation will meet outside the airport doors for your transfer to El Fuerte. Your destination is the Pueblo Magico (Magic Town) of El Fuerte, “the gateway to the Copper Canyon”. Arrival in El Fuerte after check in gather for a lively show and walking tour. In El Fuerte, pueblo magico, stroll the historic plaza and the hotel’s own historical and stunning grounds

THIRD DAY:

FIRST CHEPE EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE THROUGH THE COPPER CANYON – EL FUERTE TO BAHUICHIVO TRAIN STATION
All Aboard! This is the day we have been waiting for. After breakfast ride on one of the top five train rides in the world! Views of the rails, tunnels, and rugged terrain remind travelers of the 100 years of construction to prepare for this experience. The Chihuahua al Pacífico Railroad opened in 1961. Our first spectacular train ride climbs from sea level to almost 5,000ft elevation. The first 5-hour portion of the ride on El Chepe ends at Bahuichivo Train Station, then a short van ride from the train station takes you to picturesque Cerocahui to Hotel Mision. An exquisite Balderrama wine tasting experience may be reserved and recommended.

FOURTH DAY:

URIQUE CANYON LOOKOUT POINT (CERRO GALLEGO) – TRANSFER TO COPPER CANYON
A spectacular view awaits over the deepest section and most expansive view of the Copper Canyon system. A perfect occasion for mighty scenery views and a first opportunity to purchase Tarahumara wares. We continue on a short van ride to Copper Canyon, and check in at the spectacular Hotel Mirador, on the rim of the canyon where each room has a private balcony which looks out over the canyon surrounded by lush beauty of the Copper Canyons.

FIFTH DAY:

MEXICO’S COPPER CANYON / ADVENTURE PARK
Included on the first full day on the Copper Canyon is a visit to the Adventure Park. Grasp different canyon views from Divisadero and indulge in optimal activities offered at the Adventure Park, such as ziplining, cable car ride along the canyon chasm and many others available. Explore the canyon and enjoy gorgeous views and special events at Hotel Mirador.

DAY ON THE CANYON RIM

SEVENTH DAY:

SECOND CHEPE EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE
After breakfast, travel to the train station for a return trip to El Fuerte. Relish a second instance through most of the 86 tunnels and 39 bridges aboard this marvel engineering. This reverse route begins at almost 8,000 ft and ends just above sea level. Depart Chepe Express for a 90 minute van transfer to Los Mochis Hotel.
